Deb

Deb has been skating with Olympic Speed since November, 2002, but has only competed in a couple meets (so far). She’s been in-line skating for about 14 years and has always loved it, so when she read about the team in the newspaper, she decided to check it out. After all, the key to regular exercise is to find something you like to do so you’ll stick with it, right? And, it’s not always convenient to in-line skate outdoors in central Pennsylvania!
The practices are great workouts, and the possibility of competition keeps her motivated to push harder. It’s also a great stress release, since she comes directly from work for most practices. Deb works for Tyco Electronics as an EDI systems analyst. She’s also the mother of 2 teenagers, Erin and Donovan, who don’t skate, which is another reason she does it! Her husband Lacy is her biggest supporter and encourages her pursuing this activity, because he sees how much she enjoys it.
