Inline Speed Skating

March 15th, 2010

Inline speed skating is focused on the roller sport involving racing on inline skates. The sport takes place either indoors on an oval track, or outdoors on a track or on the road.

Indoor speed skating, a variation typically seen in the United States, uses an oval 100 meter track and is competed on an individual or team relay basis.

Outdoor speed skating either takes place on a closed track, typically around 200 meters long with both banked or flat sides, or on a road course. The road variation takes place on actual roads or closed public park roads or paths.
